Summer 2010 Season
Horse Wranglers
Seeking experienced horse wranglers to help lead/instruct our summer guest trail rides. Our summer horse program leads trips throughout the greater Yellowstone ecosystem including into the Northwest corner of Yellowstone Park, our local trail system, area forest service and wilderness trails. Previous experience hauling horses and driving horse trailers preferred. Daily horse care/vet care experience required. Individual must poses superior guest interaction skills and be 100% committed to guest safety. Average work week is approximately 40 hours giving our wranglers time to ride on their off time. Our summer season runs from approximately May 15th through the end of September. A VIDEO OF YOUR HORSEMANSHIP SKILLS WOULD BE HELPFUL.
Outdoor Youth Adventure Counselors
Seeking Outdoor Youth Adventure Counselors. Qualified applicants must have previous experience working with a wide variety of youth age groups. Applicants must possess some previous experience facilitating activities such as high ropes course, mountain biking, camping, canoeing, games, arts and crafts, and nature and science based programs. Current First Aid/CPR required. Approx. dates June 1st-Late August.
Housekeeper
Summer opening for detail orientated individual to join our summer housekeeping team. Previous housekeeping experience preferred. Main duties include daily cabin service, laundry, and public area cleaning. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs required. Need to have ability to work as part of a team, get along with co-workers and be motivated to provide superior guest customer service.
Dining Room Wait Staff-Servers
Seeking super guest orientated individuals with exceptional outgoing personalities to join our dining room staff for our upcoming summer season. Need to have ability to work as part of a team, get along with co-workers and be motivated to provide superior guest customer service.
Dishwasher
Seeking motivated individual to join our culinary team as a dishwasher for our upcoming summer season. Need to have ability to work as part of a team, get along with co-workers and be motivated to provide superior guest customer service.
Line Cook
Seeking line cook to join our culinary team for our upcoming summer season. Previous line cook experience required. Need to have ability to work as part of a team, get along with co-workers and be motivated to provide superior guest customer service.

Working and living at Lone Mountain Ranch is a rich experience. We strive to make the crew a priority by providing a safe, fun, and professional work environment. We have a variety of seasonal and a few year-round positions with our kitchen, dining room, housekeeping department, children's program, naturalist program, horse program, office and maintenance.
Summer season runs from about May 15 to October 15. Hiring for summer begins in late February. Our winter season runs from about December 5 to April 15 with hiring beginning in mid-September. Although there may be some flexibility with the dates of employment, your chances of being hired increase if you apply early and if you can work through the entire season. Dorm style or semi-private housing can be offered for most seasonal employees.
Our crew is the Ranch's most valuable asset! Excellent crews consistently provide our guests a unique and exceptional vacation experience. Our guests enjoy interracting with the crew on a genuine and personal level. With this in mind, crew is encouraged to participate in any guest activity when space is available.
The Ranch crew receives praise from the guests for their willingness to work hard, great attitude, common sense and their desire to generously share their love and enthusiasm for the Ranch and its surroundings with the guests.
Working at the Ranch also provides the opportunity to discover the Yellowstone ecosystem by crew participating in limitless recreational experiences. National Forests and Parks, Blue Ribbon trout streams and wild and scenic whitewater rivers are all easily accessible from the Ranch.
During the winter we are serious about cross country skiing! Lone Mountain Ranch is recognized as one of North America's finest nordic skiing resorts with 75km of trails groomed for both skating and striding. With our very dependable snow, the area is also great for alpine, telemark and back country skiing.
