Winter
Flyfishing
s
winter arrives in Big Sky country we are still fly fishing. The Gallatin provides
very consistent fishing during the winter months. Pockets of Brown, Cutthroat
and Rainbow trout as well as Mountain Whitefish are found throughout the river
looking for an opportunity to eat. Nymph fishing is typical this time of year,
but a midge hatch might occur if the air temperature warms enough.
he
Madison River and the Spring Creeks in Livingston, Montana require a longer
day trip. These two world class destinations are sought after by fishermen
around the world.
