country skiing is and always has been a way of life here at Lone Mountain Ranch.
Beautifully groomed trails are a top priority. Trails groomed to our standard
of excellence require a great deal of preparation before the snow flies, and
then, when the snow does come, top-of-the-line grooming equipment and dedicated
operators make all the difference.

75km trail system is groomed regularly by a highly motivated grooming staff
using state-of-the-art Pisten Bully 160 and Pisten Bully 100 snowcats, with
tillers, and an arsenal of other custom designed implements which deal with
virtually any snow condition!

this combined with a spectacular Montana mountain landscape provides our guests
with skiing that is so good that most guests return year after year. The entire
trail system is groomed for both skating and diagonal strides. Beautifully
formed tracks are laid on one side, and a skating platform on the other side.
Grooming is done each night to assure the best possible skiing the following
day.
